For the first time in a month, I actually get to spend a weekend at home, and oh what a wonderful weekend it is to be here in NYC! No doubt all you rock lovers will be spending the next four days in McCarren Park soaking up the sweet sights and sounds of Northside Festival. But for all the rave cats who are mourning the loss of the short-lived Mysteryland USA, which unfortunately had to cancel the weekend’s activities due to low ticket sales, I’ve got some worthy consolation prizes for you in this week’s Club Crush.
.) Nadastrom @ Output (Thursday, June 8th) – Moombahton and disco fans unite! We haven’t seen DC-based duo Nadastrom play NYC in quite some time, which is why we were particularly thrilled to see that they are hitting Output’s main room this Thursday night. Even better yet, you can RSVP for free entry before midnight. Let’s shake the work week up. RSVP HERE.
.) Boys Noize @ Good Room (Friday, June 9th) – Berlin’s infamous genre bender, Boys Noize, returns to Brooklyn this Friday for a stop on his 2017 Warehaus Tour. While Good Room, is hardly a warehouse, it’s the perfect spot to enjoy an intimate night of techno beats and (hopefully) bass bangers. And with HARD Summer‘s headliner announcement, we can only hope that BN is going to unleash some new Dog Blood tracks on the borough’s foggiest dance floor. Get tickets HERE.
.) Friday Night Live featuring Chaim @ Output (Friday, June 9th) – Chaim, Stavroz and Christian Voldstad are about to drop some knowledge on all those jerks who claim DJs are just fronting. These techno producers will all be performing LIVE sets this Friday at Output. Doors open at 5 PM, so get ready for a particularly indulgent happy hour. Get tickets HERE.
.) No Regular Play (LIVE) @ NuBlu (Friday, June 9th) – Our neighborhood homies No Regular Play are taking their unique talents to NuBlu (151 Ave C) in Alphabet City this Friday. You may have caught Nick and Greg’s shenanigans when they took over our instagram in April, and they haven’t slowed down since. Gear up for a night of jazz-infused house beats, backed by a full band. Thank god it’s just a short walk from the L-train, because your legs are going to be tired after this swinging dance party. Get tickets HERE.
.) House of Yes and PINK MAMMOTH Present Summer of Love @ The Park (June 10 – 11th) – Scrounge up your brightest feathers, furs and goggles for the two-day, burner-inspired fiesta that’s descending on the Vander-Ende Onderdonk House (1820 Flushing Ave) in Ridgewood this weekend. Following last month’s sold out event at House of Yes, the PINK MAMMOTH collective returns with an all-star lineup of international talent including LA-based Marques Wyatt headlining on Saturday and Crosstown Rebels DJ, Eduardo Castillo, topping the bill on Sunday. Get tickets HERE.
